British universities are ranked amongst the best in the world and quite rightly famed for their academic excellence and the employability of their graduates, worldwide. According to the official UK Higher Education Statistics Agency, 16,050 Greek students attended UK universities last year making them the 4th most common country of origin amongst overseas students.

  • You will obtain your degree in a guaranteed three years (four years in Scotland).
  • The universities have excellent, world-class facilities including laboratories, libraries, accommodation, medical centres, churches, sports centres and many more.
  • You will be taught by some of the most well-renowned lecturers in the world.
  • You will become fluent in the English language.
  • The cost of living as a student is comparable to Greece. This depends on the city you wish to study in and the lifestyle you choose, of course.
  • You will receive a lot of help and support not only during your studies but after you graduate, as well. The universities will actively help you to seek employment opportunities.
  • It is very likely that the university you choose will have some Greek lecturers and other Greek students who run Greek clubs that organize celebrations and social events (see the table for some examples). London, especially, has a large Greek community and the Organization of Greek Students in London (ΣΕΦΛ) offers help and advice for Greek students.
